1.0 – Updating your iMac/Macbook #

For best performance of your Macc you will need to ensure it is on the latest software available. You can do this using the below guide:

1.1 – Go to system settings

1.2 – In this section, you will see a notification if an update is due. If this does not show you can navigate to General and select Software Update on the right hand side to check or give further information on the update that is required.

1.3 – Once in the software update it will say what is required for the update and which operating system it is upgrading to.

1.5 – Select the update to begin downloading or complete the next required action. Once your Mac has restarted you will then be on the latest software.

2.0 – Resolving Connection Issues with your iMac/Macbook #

2.1 – Error ‘No Internet Connection’ #

Occasionally you may get an error advising there is no internet connection despite being on the wifi. We always recommend rebooting your device first. If you are unsure how to do this we have a guide here. If this does not work we recommend refreshing the connection by forgetting the network. You can do this by doing the following:

2.2 – Go to System Settings

2.3 – Select ‘Wi-Fi’. Here you will see the wifi networks available as well as the one you are currently connected to. Select ‘Details’ next to the connected network

2.4 – Select the ‘Forget This Network…..’

2.5 – Once selected a pop up will come up asking to confirm you would like to remove the network. Select ‘Remove’ and you will then disconnect from the network.

2.6 – Once this process is complete if you reconnect to the network this will have refreshed your connection and removed any errors.

3.0 – Your iMac/Macbook MAC Address #

A MAC address is a hardware identification number that uniquely identifies each device on a network. We often use this to pre-approve your device on our network. To find it you need to:

2.2 – Go to System Settings

2.3 – Select ‘Wi-Fi’. Here you will see the wifi networks available as well as the one you are currently connected to. Select ‘Details’ next to the connected network

2.4 – Select the ‘Hardware’

2.5 – The 12 digit MAC address will then be shown in the top right corner of the pop up box.

4.0 – Rebooting your Mac #

Occasionally a reboot of your Mac may be required to resolve any connection issues. Below is a guide in how to do this for all models and operating systems:

4.1. Select the apple logo in the top left of your screen.

4.2 – Select ‘Restart’

4.3 – A pop up will come up asking if you would like to restart, select the ‘Restart’ again and your Mac will reboot.

5.0 – Connecting to a ClubWifi Network on your Mac #

To connect to our networks on a Ma you will need to:

5.1 – Select the Wifi logo the top right of the screen

5.2 – Select ‘Wi-Fi’

5.3 – Select the ‘ClubWifi_’ network. This will normally be called ‘ClubWifi_Park Name’.

5.4 – Next Steps for either paid to access or free network

5.4.1 – If this is a pay to access network a pop up will load up with instructions on as below.

5.4.2 – If this is a free to access site you will be prompted for the password which the site will provide to you.
